Job Description
Perfection Fresh Australia is seeking a meticulous Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Homebush, Production within the Commercial Operations department. This is a Permanent - Full Time position in the 'Other' category. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment within our production facility. Your main tasks will include:
Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure their efficiency and safety
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues, and implementing solutions to minimise downtime
Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of machinery and equipment
Reading technical diagrams and blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to safety guidelines
Collaborating with other departments to identify their electrical needs and provide appropriate solutions
Adhering to all relevant health and safety standards and regulations while performing duties
Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field, along with proven experience in a similar role, is essential. Desired Skills and Experience
Qualified electrician with relevant trade qualifications
Proven experience in industrial maintenance and fault finding
Knowledge of PLCs, variable speed drives, and motor control systems
Experience with electrical installations and repairs in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to electrical work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for maintenance tasks
