Job Description
The Gardener/Groundsman supports the Perfection Fresh – Two Wells facility that specialises in the commercial production of cucumbers and tomatoes. This role is primarily responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and cleanliness of the site’s external grounds and landscaped areas, ensuring a professional, safe, and tidy environment around growing sheds, office buildings, loading bays, and other operational facilities.
The role is not involved in crop production but plays a critical support function by maintaining a safe and aesthetically clean external environment that reflects the high standards of the company.
Desired Skills and Experience
Essential:
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or similar outdoor roles.
Proficient in the use of outdoor power tools (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
Strong understanding of plant care and landscape maintenance.
A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and professional site presentation.
Physically fit and capable of manual tasks in an outdoor environment.
Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of WHS protocols and safe work practices.
Willingness to adhere to site protocols and biosecurity measures.
Desirable:
Certificate II or III in Horticulture or a related field.
Experience in agricultural or horticultural environments.
Chemical handling accreditation (e.g., ChemCert or similar).
